IN TIME FOR THE NEW SEASON
We are pleased to announce
that we will be publishing two additional guides in the managed
fisheries pocket guide series in early March in time for the new
season, covering Lough Owel and the Little Brosna and Camcor Rivers.
The Lough Sheelin Guide published a few months ago is presently

forget to state the guide/s you require with your full name and
postal address. Electronic versions in pdf will be available
to download online when the remaining guides are published in

SHEELIN ANGLERS POCKET GUIDE IS PUBLISHED
The Board has commenced the production
of a series of pocket guides to cover all our primary managed
fisheries. The Lough Sheelin guide, the first in the series has
now been published and is available. To obtain a copy, please
email the Angling Section at
info@shannon-fishery-board.ie
and don't forget to provide your full name and postal address or
telephone us at 057 9121777 to request a copy.
These
guides are a definitive source of angling information on where to
fish, fishery regulations, flies to use, the seasons, good angling
stretches on rivers and popular angling drifts on lakes.
A unique aspect of the guides is the
design. They are produced in pocket media format, and ideal for
anglers to carry and reference while actually fishing, due to
their compact size and detailed angling maps contained. The lists
of useful contacts make it easy for anglers to book boat hire,
local accommodation and other angling services in advance of a
fishing trip. They are even Sat Nav friendly and contain many
local points of interest, making them suitable for the traveller
who uses satellite GPS navigation technology.
