ACCESS: Good - off public road into a
car park from the village of Kilconnell.
FACILITIES: Open Bank - Bank Fishing only - there
is a car park, fishing stands and other amenities.
PERMISSION TO FISH: This fishery is
part of Inland Fisheries ireland's 'Midland Fisheries Group'
of controlled waters and anglers require a fishing permit (ticket
charge) to fish here.

FISHERY DESCRIPTION: Lough Acalla
is a rich limestone lake of some 30 acres. It is stocked with Rainbow
Trout and some Browns. The fishery can produce well formed trout up to
7lbs. Dry Fly, nymph and artificial fly lures work well.
