OPEN SALMON SEASON: Salmon fishery is
closed in 2010.
CONSERVATION OF SALMON AND SEA TROUT
BYE LAW NO. C.S. 304, 2009 (Closed Rivers).
This
Bye-law prohibits the taking or attempting
to take by rod and line salmon and sea trout
over 40 cm in the rivers specified in the Bye-law.

OPEN SEASON BROWN
TROUT: March 1st to September 30th.
ACCESS: Poor Access generally, limited to a
couple of stretches. Best fishing is limited to approx the last 3-4
miles of river.
FACILITIES: Open Bank - This is a very narrow
river and much of the banks are overgrown and difficult to fish from
PERMISSION TO FISH: Check with your local angling club for any local permit fees.
FISHERY DESCRIPTION: The Creegh River rises near
Kilmihil and flows westerly through Cree and enters the sea about 15
miles downstream adjacent to Doonbeg Golf Course. The landscape is
boggy.
