dated Wednesday June 2nd, 2010

MARTIN MITCHELL MEMORIAL PERPETUAL CUP PIKE COMPETITION

We had very little in the way of Pike Fishing reports received by the angling section this week, which is in direct contrast  to recent weeks with plenty of action reported. Perhaps the hot bright sunny weather is a factor.  Boyle and District Angling Club will host the Martin Mitchell Memorial Perpetual Cup on Saturday 5th of June 2010 on Lough Key. This is an open competition. Fishing will commence at 2pm and finish at 8pm.  Entry Fee will be €20 and entries fees will be collected at the Doon shore from 1pm on the day. The next qualifying competition of the Kingspan National Pike Championships will be held on the River Suck on Sunday 13th June. This will be over a 5 mile stretch upstream from Ballinasloe. Entries will be taken in Egan's Bar on the Main Street in Ballinasloe from 9.30. See main report for further details on these events.  TIGHT LINES!
