COARSE FISHING AT A STANDSTILL AS THE COUNTRY IS GRIPPED IN A BIG FREEZE

Coarse fishing has been at a standstill for several weeks. The present big freeze has left canals, backwaters and some marinas frozen. Driving conditions are hazardous with temperatures struggling to rise above zero during daytime and dipping to as low as -12C in sheltered areas at night time.

We wish to announce that the Irish Specimen Fish Committee have published their annual report 2009 on specimen fish verified over the year.  The Shannon region featured in the report - East Clare lakes, Inny system and Lough Ree. The report can be downloaded CLICK HERE  TIGHT LINES!.

UPPER SHANNON
