O'Briensbridge
on the lower River Shannon immediately south of Lough Derg in Co Clare about 16 kms from
Limerick City and approximately 40 kms from Shannon Airport. It's a good coarse angling
base. Angling Services are presently available nearby at killaloe , contact TJ's
Angling centre - see listings.
WHERE TO FISH
O'Briensbridge has a number of coarse angling stretches,
most of
which is suitable for match anglers. The stretches are maintained by the
Shannon Regional Fisheries Board on an on going basis. It is also an important
pike angling location and produces pike to specimen size. O'Briensbridge serves
as a good base for anglers interested in fishing the nearby EAST
CLARE LAKES. Other neighbouring angling centres include
KILLALOE on the River Shannon and
MOUNTSHANNON and
SCARIFF on Lough Derg's western shores.
