THE FISHERY

This is a 26 acre lake situated along side the Dromod to Mohill Road R202. It is very shallow lake, not much greater than about 5 feet, typically about 4 feet. It tends to weed up during the summer months and is heavily reeded in areas. Despite this the lake being so shallow it is a productive fishery with quality Tench up to 5 lbs -6lbs present. Sweet corn is a popular bait and gets the best results. Other species present are Bream to 4lbs, Roach, Hybrids. There are also some very large pike present and well worth a try.

The Shannon Regional Fisheries Board provide one stand on the eastern shore. 

TO GET THERE

Parking is about 20 meters from the road side on the left past the village of Dromod and on the right out of Mohill village.
