This is regarded as the best coarse fishery in the Corofin district. It is located 2 kms from the scenic village of Corofin and is beside the main Corofin/Ennis road. This 70 acre lake holds very good stocks of all the main species of coarse fish except Roach. It is a rich limestone water and consequently has the capacity to produce quality fish. Many Specimen size Bream, Tench and Rudd and Rudd/Bream Hybrids are regularly recorded here.  Ballycullinan is also a good Pike fishery.

FACILITIES AND ACCESS

There is a car park, Slipway and boat jetty. There are 3 timber fishing stands located around the centre of the lake but these are only accessible by boat. Coarse fishing is possible from the shore but due to the nature of the difficult terrain a boat is necessary. For boat hire contact Michael Cleary, Corofin. Tel: Outside Ireland +353 65 6837675. Inside Ireland; Tel: 065 6837675  Mobile: 087 6756465 Email   mcleary@shrfb.com

TO GET THERE

Take the Ennis road from Corofin for about 2 kms and the lake is visible and signposted from the road.
