THE FISHERY

This is a very popular match stretch on the River Shannon. The section holds Bream, Roach,  Hybrids and other coarse fish.

ACCESS & FACILITIES

The Shannon Fisheries Board have erected 2 continuous board walks servicing 25 International match standard angling spaces. This Board walk can be accessed from 3 locations which greatly improves the convenience and safety of anglers using the upgraded facility which will be fully completed for 2009 angling season. Downstream of the facility there are 2 stiles providing access to15 open bank swims.

TO GET  THERE

From Carrick on Shannon take the Elphin road for about 2 miles,  take the first left, cross over the railway line which will take you down to the fishery at Mrs Byrnes house.
