THE FISHERY

Hartley Bridge is on the River Shannon, to the north of Carrick-on Shannon. This can be a very productive venue in May as the shoals of Roach migrate up river to spawn.  There are also Bream to 3lbs, Hybrids and Rudd in the section. 

ACCESS & FACILITIES

Fishing is from 20 bank swims into 6 to 10 feet of water. The Shannon Fisheries Board has 1 access stairs and 1 stile into this fishery.  

TO GET THERE

From Carrick on Shannon take the Drumshanbo road for about 0.5 mile and turn left (signposted Cootehall). Continue  travelling on for another 2 miles approx where you will meet the Shannon at Hartley Bridge.
