THE FISHERY

This section of river has good quality Roach to 2lbs, Hybrids and Bream. However the quality of fishing is very dependent on the weather and the river can rise quickly during wet weather. 

ACCESS & FACILITIES

This is an open bank fishery where you will find 20 bank pegs on the upstream side of the bridge with 4 stiles and 2 footbridges. There are a number of bank pegs on the downstream side of the moorings  which can be very productive. Access to this area is across private land so do seek permission from the local landowner before accessing the fishery. For boat anglers - use the slipway at the harbour, particularly for pike angling which can be good in the downstream sections.

TO GET THERE

From Carrick on Shannon take the N4 five miles to the east. Drumsna village is sign posted.
