THE FISHERY

Battlebridge is on the river Shannon to the northwest of Leitrim village. This can be a very productive water in May and into early June as the Roach and Bream migrate to spawn.  This is also a very good trout fishery, early and late season.

ACCESS AND FACILITIES

Fishing is from 40 bank pegs into 6 to 10 feet of water. The Shannon Fisheries Board has 6 stiles, 7 footbridges and 1 stairs into this fishery to facilitate anglers.   

TO GET THERE

From Carrick on Shannon take the Drumshanbo Road to Leiitrim village. Turn left until you come to Battlebridge about 3 miles to the northwest of Leitrim village.
