THE FISHERY

This stretch is  downstream from Shrule Bridge described in the guide.  Fishing is easy both upstream and downstream of the bridge into about  7 - 8 feet of water. Some very good catches of roach and hybrids have been recorded here over recent seasons particularily in late May, early June as fish come up from Lough Ree to spawn. 

FACILITIES AND ACCESS

Access is at the road bridge. Car parking is available at on the roadside at the bridge.

TO GET THERE

Cross over Shrule Bridge. About  50 meters beyond the bridge, turn left at the T Junction. Circa 1.5 miles turn left at the sign post for the  Red Bridge.
