THE FISHERY

Lough Errit is about 400 acre lake located approximately 7 miles south of Ballaghadeareen. Pike of moderate size is the predominant species present. Other species include perch, eels. The lake varies in depth from 4ft to 30ft.

FACILITIES AND ACCESS

Access is very good and includes a concrete jetty and boat slipway and three fishing stands are provided by the Shannon Regional Fisheries Board.  

TO GET THERE

From Ballaghadeareen take the  R293 heading south and continue across Crenaun bridge,  turn right for Lisacul and continue through Lisacul crossroads for about 2 miles to a T junction, turn right for Ballyhaunis which is approx 2 miles to Coney island pub, first right after pub and fishery is about a half a mile in the road.
